St. Cloud Landmark Undergoes Complete Transformation
ST CLOUD, MN - (April 1, 2008)
- James & Associates Commercial Construction Co. helped give a longtime St. Cloud landmark a well-deserved renovation to revive it as community gathering place.
O'Hara's Brew Pub had been a St. Cloud staple for more than 62 years before closing in May 2007. The family-owned restaurant served as a popular hangout and watering hole and was well recognized both locally and abroad.
James & Associates completely transformed the building to allow it to reopen as McCann's Food & Brew.
"It was a true honor to help revitalize this St. Cloud hot spot and give the community a place to hang out, grab a drink and get some great food," says Jim Schmitz, CEO of James & Associates.
The work of J&A extended beyond the restaurant to include an extensive renovation of the commercial complex where the restaurant was located. The firm worked with the complex's new ownership team to revitalize the entire aging facility - inside and out.
Renovations included replacing existing doors, windows, roofing and mechanical equipment. Among the most prominent features was the installation of a new EFIS exterior finish consisting of a series of columns and parapet wall accents. The new finishes created a modern appearance.
"We continue to receive so many compliments on the finished product," Schmitz says. "The entire complex now is a focal point in that area, capturing the attention of passersby."
